THEOLOGY STUDY AT NOTRE DAME SEMINARY

Notre Dame Seminary is now accepting applications for graduate degree theology programs.

Three MA degrees are offered: the Basic MA, available to full-time employees of the Archdiocese of New Orleans; the General M.A. degree in Theological Studies, which enables graduates to seek professional jobs in teaching, parish ministry and spiritual direction; and the Research M.A. degree, which prepares students for doctoral work in theology or religious studies. Students attend classes with seminarians while completing course work in five areas of technological studies: history, scripture, spirituality, systematic theology, and moral theology. Depending upon their academic interests, students can choose one area for specialization in the degree programs. For individuals interested in personal enrichment and in updating their study of the Church and its teaching, course enrollment is open to non-degree students or for audit. An undergraduate degree is required for registration in any course.

For information, contact the advisor of the M.A. programs, Elizabeth Willems, S.S.N.D. (tel. 866.7426. ext. 3012) or the Registrar, Sr. Cecilia Castillo, STJ (tel. 866-7426 ext. 3108).

New students are required to attend the orientation to be held in Classroom 1 on Friday, August 19th, at 2:30 pm. This will be followed by registration at 3:30 pm. School ID photos will be taken at this time.
