Cardinal Visits Notre Dame
His Eminence
Francesco Cardinal Marchisano addresses the Notre Dame
community after celebrating Mass at the seminary in February.
The Cardinal visited New Orleans for the opening of the
Vatican Mosaic Exhibit at the Old Ursuline Convent in the
French Quarter. The display of 34 mosaics created by the
Vatican's mosaic studio is the first of its kind outside of Rome
and has attracted roughly 2000 visitors per week in its opening
weeks. The exhibit runs through June 1. His Eminence also
attended the diaconate ordination Mass of five Notre Dame
seminarians during his visit. Also pictured is Msgr. Crosby
